March 28, 2006 Insight Public Sector Inc. 2006 Insight Public Sector Inc., a company providing technology products and services to federal government agencies, has agreed to pay $1 Million Dollars to settle false claims allegations. The allegations were that the company falsely certified that it was a “small business” for the purpose of obtaining a preference in receiving contracts from the federal government. The General Services Administration maintains a “Multiple Award Schedule” under which companies which qualify as a “small business” are given a preference when contracts are awarded by the government.
