June 14, 1995  Rockwell International Corporation

Rockwell International Corporation has agreed to pay $260,000 to settle claims that it overcharged the government on an Air Force contract by failing to tell federal contract negotiators about a discount it received from one of its suppliers. During negotiations for the Air Force contract, Rockwell gave the Air Force proposals which failed to account for discounts which Rockwell received from its vendor, Encore Computer Corporation. The U.S. Justice Department announced that the settlement resolves the company’s potential liability under the False Claims Act and the Truth in Negotiations Act.
