Workforce Central Florida (WCF) and Workforce Central Florida Foundation Inc. have to pay $3.4 Million to resolve qui tam claims raised by a private relator.

WCF receives federal grants from the U.S. Department of Labor, to provide such services as job placement and training, temporary cash assistance and specialized support services such as child care and transportation.
The allegations asserted by the private relator were that WCF misused federal grant funds to make improvements to their privately-owned administrative office and One-Stop Center and then by charging excessive lease costs to the government.

As part of a settlement, the private relator is to receive over $627,000 for having filed the qui tam claims.
