October 10, 1997 Government Technology Services Inc.

Government Technology Services Inc. (GTSI) has agreed to pay $400,000 to settle claims asserted in a qui tam action filed by Mary Slutman, a former employee of Novell Inc. The allegations of the case were that GTSI failed to inform government negotiators fully that GTS received rebates from the manufacturers of products offered by GTSI for sale to the government.  GTSI was required by the terms of its contract, and under federal law, to provide accurate information to government contract negotiators.

As part of the settlement, Ms. Slutman will receive $68,000 for having filed the qui tam case.
