December 16, 2002 $1.2 Billion Recovered in 2002 The United States Justice Department has announced that in 2002, over $1.2 Billion Dollars was recovered under the False Claims Act, bringing the total monies recovered under the Act since 1986 to $10 Billion Dollars. In 2002 persons who filed qui tam actions received over $160 Million Dollars in rewards under the Act.
