December 27, 1994  The State of New York

The State of New York State has agreed to pay nearly $27 Million Dollars to settle claims asserted in a qui tam action filed by George Denoncourt, a former NYSDSS employee. The allegations in the case were that several New York State colleges and employees knowingly overbilled, falsely billed and improperly billed the federal government to collect funds disbursed for the training of civil service workers.

As part of the settlement, Mr. Denoncourt will receive over $4 Million Dollars for having filed the qui tam case.
